Living the practice of yoga.

My teaching emphasizes living the practice of yoga, with deep respect for textual study and yoga philosophy. My first priority in life is to live the practice of yoga and to teach others who want to do the same. The majority of my work is focused on the research and transmission of yogic philosophy in a way that is undiluted yet understandable, and posture that reflects the mat as a mirror. Community is one of my cornerstone values. Community uplifts commitment and consistency, two of the most important features of a yoga practice.

I have over fifteen years of continuous teaching experience, and I hold an 800 hour IAYT Yoga Therapy certification as well as 500 hour and two 200 hour certifications. I owned and operated The New School of Yogic Arts which featured a philosophy-forward 200 hour YTT. I hold a BFA from The University of the Arts and Masters in Religious Studies with a concentration in Indian Philosophy and Sanskrit from Rutgers University. I am a PhD candidate in Religion on the Hinduism track at the University of Florida. My dissertation focuses on yoga.
